About Kambo Medicine

Kambo, also known as Sapo, is a traditional Amazonian frog medicine used for purification and energetic cleansing.

Known by some as “The Great Frog Teacher,” kambo is traditionally used to support deep detoxification and

connection to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.

The medicine comes from the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor (giant monkey frog) and contains naturally

occurring bio-peptides that interact with the body’s systems.

Kambo is applied through small points on the skin, often called “gates,” allowing the medicine

to enter the lymphatic system.

Participants commonly work with kambo for:

Energetic clearing

Emotional release

Nervous system reset

Spiritual connection

Clarity and grounding

Breaking old patterns or stagnation

Research into kambo’s peptides is ongoing. While many people report profound personal experiences,

this ceremony is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.

Kambo is legal in all 50 U.S. states.

Ethical & Sustainable Sourcing

Our kambo is ethically and sustainably sourced through trusted relationships with indigenous medicine keepers in Peru.

The frogs are treated with care and released safely back into their natural habitat.

No frogs are harmed or killed in the collection process.

Supporting indigenous wisdom keepers and traditional lineages is an important part of our mission.

What to Expect During Ceremony

Ceremonies are intentionally intimate and typically held in small groups of 2–6 participants.

We begin with:

Intention setting

Grounding practices

Card pull or intuitive guidance

Hapé Ceremony

Explanation of ceremony protocols and safety

Participants then receive Kambo in a held ceremonial setting with guided support throughout the process.

Optional Sananga (“Lightning of the Eye”) may also be offered.

After the medicine journey, participants are encouraged to rest, hydrate, journal, and integrate.

Integration support, light snacks at the end.

We are available for follow-up wessions, integration and further support on your journey.

Preparation & Dieta

A 12-hour dry fast (no food or water) is required before ceremony.

Specific preparation instructions, contraindications, and health considerations will be discussed during your Discovery Chat.

Because kambo is a powerful purgative medicine, honesty regarding medical history and medications is essential for safety.

Ceremony Location

Ceremonies are held at Mystic Hearts Center, a serene 15-acre wooded sanctuary in East Austin.

Our sacred gathering space includes a peaceful pool house environment intentionally curated for healing, prayer, rest, and transformation.
